What is it?
Sports injury rehabilitation is a structured physiotherapy programme that restores strength, mobility, control and confidence after a sporting injury. Rather than resting until pain settles and hoping for the best outcome, rehab uses carefully progressed exercise and hands-on treatment to help tissue adapt to load again.
Our approach is built on milestones rather than dates. You progress when you can show the strength, range and control needed for the next stage, which can help reduce the risk of returning too early and re-injuring the same area.
Who it can help
Rehab is commonly used for runners, footballers, padel and tennis players, gym-goers, cyclists, combat-sport athletes and anyone who wants to get back to an active lifestyle after injury.
- Muscle strains, including hamstring, calf and groin strains
- Ligament sprains of the ankle and knee
- Tendon pain such as Achilles, patellar and gluteal tendinopathy
- Shoulder injuries from throwing, lifting or racket sports
- Recovery after orthopaedic surgery, including ACL reconstruction
What happens in a session
Your first visit is a full assessment: we discuss how the injury happened, test strength, range of movement and joint stability, and look at how you move in sport-specific positions. You leave with a clear explanation of the injury and a staged plan.
Follow-up sessions typically combine hands-on treatment such as manual therapy or dry needling with targeted exercise. As you progress, sessions shift towards strength, power, agility and sport-specific drills, with objective re-testing so you can see your progress.
How many sessions you may need
The number of sessions depends on the type and severity of the injury, how long you have had it and the demands of your sport. A minor strain may need three to six sessions, while post-surgical or long-standing problems can need a longer programme over several months. We review your plan regularly and tell you honestly when you are ready to manage independently.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a referral for sports injury physiotherapy?
No referral is needed. You can book an assessment directly with our physiotherapists in Umm Suqeim via WhatsApp.
Can I keep training while I rehab an injury?
Often, yes. We modify your training rather than stop it where possible, so you can stay active while the injured area recovers.
Should I bring my scans?
Yes. Bring any MRI, X-ray or ultrasound reports. They help us plan, although many sports injuries can be assessed clinically without imaging.
What should I wear to my session?
Wear comfortable sports clothing that allows us to see and test the injured area, and bring your training shoes if your injury is in the lower limb.
Do you treat professional athletes?
Yes. We work with both professional and amateur athletes, adapting the depth of testing and the plan to your level and competition schedule.
